Yarrow Two is an original cyanotype on archival watercolor paper. These hardy flowers grow in my Colorado high alpine garden. I love their colorful blooms that last all summer long. The deer hate them, so they don't eat them, another plus!
Cyanotype is one of photography’s oldest printing processes, known for its distinctive cyan-blue color created through exposure to ultraviolet light. For this piece, I placed grasses from my garden directly onto the treated paper, where they blocked the UV rays and created delicate botanical silhouettes.
