PLINTH Low Coffee Table by Donatas Zukauskas
A sculptural bio cement coffee table with an architectural restraint that allows it to function as a central object within a space without demanding attention. The PLINTH Low is conceived as a presence rather than a statement: grounded, honest, and materially direct. Its raw, textured surface and deliberate proportions make it equally at home in minimalist residential interiors, galleries, and design-led commercial spaces.
The material is developed through years of personal experimentation: recycled paper pulp and cardboard — the second life of wood — combined with organic cement, binders, and paint to produce a composite that looks like cast stone but behaves differently. It is lighter than real concrete, slightly elastic rather than brittle, and sealed for long-term indoor durability. Donatas calls it the third life of wood: a material given entirely new properties through process.
Rather than concealing the marks of making, PLINTH wears them as character. Surface irregularities and natural texture shifts are built into the design — imperfection as a way to create beauty.
Each piece is handmade and unique — minor variations in texture and form are intentional and part of the design. Made-to-order. Custom dimensions available on request. Trade pricing available. Ships internationally. Lead time 4–8 weeks.
Designed, crafted and built by Donatas Zukauskas — a Lithuanian sculptor and designer whose furniture sits at the intersection of brutalist materiality and quiet, considered form.
