For this painting I created a surface not only using sand, but also paper. So this 'collage mixed media painting' is wrinkled and twisted in the bottom part, while it's either sandy or super-smooth in the upper one.
The painting's metallic effects are enhanced by the glossy varnish.
I love to feel my eyes wandering over it and finding some gracefulness, in the midst of its intense aspects. And the light plays a mad dance over it depending on the time of the day.
Mixed media work created with sand, paper, acrylic colors, metallic pigments and glossy varnish.
Being richly textured, it gives the viewer both a visual and a tactile experience. Also, the metallic pigments and the varnish allow the painting to shine depending on the natural lights.
