Nature Medley Two is the second of a pair of companion paintings. It depicts the beautiful, soothing colors of nature's wood, wool, and leaves. Patterns and textures are all around us. The nubby surface of a knitted sweater and the smooth feel of granite tile are but two examples. I have blended my favorites in striped vignettes of natural and man-made objects. The neutral color palette holds the elements together, while the contrast of shapes and textures adds interest in every stripe.
