Nantucket Afternoon is a collage painting about one of my favorite places. The pink and purple hues flash by as I bike by the blooming hydrangea bushes. The salty brine of the deep blue Atlantic that I smell while enjoying the succulent taste of a warm buttered lobster roll. The patterns and textures of Nantucket entice me. The frothy foam of the waves on its shell-strewn beaches. The weathered gray shingles against the crisp white trim of the Nantucket cottages. Lavender, magenta, slate blues, and gray tones surround me.
