I know I’m not alone when I say that it feels like there’s always a million things going on in my head while maintaining a delicate balance with the world around us. Even when life is busy with good things, it still feels like one pebble out of place, and you might disrupt the hard won harmony.
It’s ok if that’s what things need to be like for a while. I’ve found a lot of peace in surrendering to the fact that things are just…delicate right now. Instead of observing that with the intention of changing it, I’m observing it to archive and look back on.
I leave the canvas loose to display on magnetic poster hangers to encourage you to get up close and explore all facets of the experience.
These pieces are made using scraps of old paintings and materials I save. They’re pure play and experimentation for me- two of my biggest inspirations. I could tinker with them for hours, just like making doll clothes when I was little.
Among the brushstrokes and textures, there’s a quiet conversation between color and space, inviting stillness into your living space. Art with themes of mindfulness and wellbeing can turn everyday moments into meditative reflections.
