Interlude IV is one in a captivating series of unique monoprints, meticulously printed by hand in 2015. These exquisite prints are created using a family of copper plates, each carefully etched employing a variety of intricate methods, ranging from delicate aquatint to precise engraving. Every plate features abstract elements of the landscape rendered in either subtle line or rich tone. Initially inspired by simple sketches made during a memorable trip to Spain, these prints gradually evolved in complexity and depth as each additional layer was thoughtfully applied, culminating in a wholly unique and compelling image.
