“Geranium One” is an original cyanotype with light touches of watercolor. Geraniums thrive in the direct sun in my Florida garden, pushing out large clusters of dark red flowers. Cyanotypes are one of photography's oldest printing processes. This one-of-a-kind print features a distinctive cyan blue shade, which results from its exposure to ultraviolet light. I used plants from my garden to block the UV rays and create unique, botanical silhouettes. Additional chemicals, dyes, and watercolors are added to create a truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
