STILL Column Side Table by Donatas Zukauskas
A sculptural side table with a columnar composite base and a solid oak top — two materials in quiet, considered contrast. The STILL Column is vertical and composed, with a presence that is calm rather than assertive. Its mineral-like base carries the subtle texture and irregularity of hand-building; the oak top brings warmth and natural grain. Together they create a piece that feels both grounded and light.
Each piece is built around a reinforced composite base — recycled paper pulp and organic cement, combined through years of material experimentation into something that reads as cast stone but is lighter, slightly elastic, and resistant to cracking. The solid oak top is finished with food-safe oils for durability. The base is sealed with matte varnish. The oak tone can be selected to suit your interior.
Rather than concealing the marks of making, STILL Column wears them as character. Subtle irregularities in the base and natural variation in the oak are both preserved — imperfection as a way to create beauty.
