With Darlene Watson's "Beach Town 2"
the artist's informal, spontaneous and thoughtfully placed brush strokes show her energy as an abstract painter. With this original and her love of the beach in her town, this cubism style abstract has been imagined and created.
Darlene creates a real statement piece in any given space. Pen lines, pebble-like brush strokes and a feel of walking the shoreline and as we know rocks are never perfect circles. The marks with a pen and the soft colours draw you into her world. There are always added details or surprises over the sides of her works and this piece is no exception. Once her painting is stretched it can hang as it is or placed in a floating frame. Don't be concerned with the ripple in the photo as many of her paintings are created right on her studio wall.
She continuously works over the surface of each original while bringing you along into her artistic world.
