This wall hanging ceramic decorative tile is hand-carved, made from a slab of clay. It is wall art that is a special wall decor idea.
It depicts a lovely yet mysterious woman from behind. And on her back - a silhouette of dancers in movement.

* Fired in a kiln at 1200 degrees Celsius

I hand formed the clay and then, using the Sgraffito* technique, I carved images into the slip brushed over moist clay. First I scratched a drawing of an elegant elderly woman from the back view, and then on the lady's shirt underneath - a group of teal-painted silhouettes of dancers. I made the tile specifically to be hanged on the wall as a decorative element for your living room or kitchen area. But this piece will also look lovely on a sturdy plate stand on any shelf or even a fireplace mantel...
*Sgraffito: a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color, typically done in plaster or stucco on walls, or in slip on ceramics before firing.
