Originating from Persia between 1930-1950, this vintage Persian rug is hand knotted with a durable, luminous wool body with a rich and bright combination of field and border motifs strongly resembling the oriental symbols for the eight-pointed star and the crab; a distinguished, rare combination complementing the uncommon marriage of rich red, green, and blue with off-white colourways in the medallion field and border alike.
