The Unfixed Series builds on an ongoing exploration of memory, identity, and materiality, translated into a digital process. Each work originates from scanned fragments—archival papers, textures, and printed matter—carefully reassembled into layered, pixelated portraits.

Geometric patterns—forming the underlying ground of each portrait—emerge from these scanned materials, suggesting the systems that shape visibility, anonymity, and self-construction.

Produced as archival Giclée prints on museum-grade paper, these works emphasise longevity, depth, and material presence, extending a practice rooted in physical collage into the digital realm.

I fold fragments of the everyday into new forms of memory and meaning.

Paola Bazz is an Anglo-Italian artist and designer whose work transforms recycled printed matter into sculptural paper compositions. Trained in architecture, she approaches each piece as a structure built from fragments of the everyday — folding, cutting, and layering discarded pages into new visual forms. Her works explore identity, memory, and transformation, celebrating the beauty that emerges from renewal and repetition.

The David Bowie print I bought for a client project is stunning and the 3D aspect of it comes through beautifully in the print. Amazing quality!
