Simplicity Refined, Potential Unleashed The Egg is a definitive exploration of organic potential captured through industrial resilience. In this original 1-of-1 work, Marc Staples elevates one of nature’s most perfect geometries through a sophisticated mixed-media composition. It is designed to serve as a meditative anchor—a compelling conversation piece for the discerning executive suite, gallery-style credenza, or modern living sanctuary. Alchemic Color & Living Patina The striking visual depth of the piece is achieved through the signature Lago Luna process of Heat-Applied Patina. The Torched Spectrum: Burnished architectural carbon steel is subjected to intense, controlled flame. This artisanal "alchemy" yields a rich, iridescent field of deep cobalts, radiant golds, and bruised purples. Material Contrast: The cool, fire-born tones of the steel provide a brilliant counterpoint to the warmth and luster of the hand-wrought copper elements, creating a piece that feels simultaneously ancient and avant-garde. Lasting Brilliance: The entire surface is preserved with a professional-grade clear sealant, ensuring the torched colors remain vibrant while protecting the "Living Patina" for generations. An Authoritative Statement in Scale With a low-slung, broad 14-inch profile, The Egg carries significant visual weight. Its presence is felt immediately, offering an authoritative focal point that commands attention without overwhelming the surrounding architecture. As a unique, one-of-a-kind original, it offers the collector true exclusivity in a world of mass production.
