This is one of my watercolour pieces, a more storybook style than my usual wildlife work. I love the idea of a fox as a traveller, lantern in hand, heading somewhere important.
The Luminous Vulpine is part of our Watercolour Animal series, printed on textured Hahnemühle German Etching paper for a look and feel that suits the style perfectly 🦊
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Catherine Hébert is a wildlife and animal artist based in Montreal, Canada. She has a background in visual effects and brings that same eye for detail and colour to every painting. Many of her pieces are inspired by real animals she's met. A crow on a hotel balcony in DC, a round pigeon in a Seoul subway station, a pheasant who keeps showing up in her sister's yard in Nova Scotia. She also paints live during her weekly Thursday evening livestream, where viewers hang out, chat, and sometimes even name the paintings!
ABOUT THE PRINT:
This piece is printed on textured Hahnemühle German Etching paper using archival giclée inks. The textured surface gives it a beautiful handmade quality that suits the watercolour style perfectly.

Smaller prints ship flat in stiff cardboard envelopes. Larger prints ship in protective cardboard tubes.
