Artist Melissa Mary Jenkins' landscape and still life paintings reflect the natural world surrounding her in-home studio and her love of all things vintage and antique.
Pomegranates have been a powerful symbol of love and fertility for many cultures throughout the ages. In Greek mythology and many cultures including Buddhist, Islamic, Judaic, and Christian traditions the pomegranate was seen as a representation of fertility. In various Indian traditions, pomegranates are believed to bring good luck, ward off evil, and are offered at various ceremonies to bless people with abundance and prosperity.
The original hanging pomegranate was painted by the artist Melissa Mary Jenkins on linen with acrylic paint and then printed onto watercolor paper.
This fine art print is printed on beautifully textured, thick watercolour paper by a local printing company. The Watercolor Paper details are as follows:
