The Tronco Seat is a mirror-polished stainless steel sculptural chair by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Tronco Collection (2023–2025). Its form reimagines the silhouette of a cut log section as an upright seat — resolved in reflective steel, its surface folding in a way that makes the material feel found rather than fabricated.
Produced through hydroforming — stainless steel inflated under high water pressure into a hollow, lightweight form — each piece is then hand-hammered to generate its defining surface texture. No two pieces arrive at the same result.
The mirror finish absorbs the room into the form itself, so the Tronco Seat reads differently from every angle and in every quality of light — functioning as a lens that bends and reconstructs its environment.
Hollow throughout and roughly 30% lighter than cast alternatives, the piece suits both indoor and outdoor settings, finished in rust-resistant Grade 304 stainless steel.
