The Monolith Sculpture is a mirror-polished stainless steel floor sculpture by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Monolith Collection (2024–2025). Standing at 180 cm, it commands space through presence rather than gesture — its surface reflecting the environment in fluid, perpetually shifting patterns, functioning as much as a lens as a sculptural form.

Each piece is shaped through hydroforming — stainless steel expanded under high water pressure into a hollow form — then hand-worked with hammers to develop the gentle undulations that animate the surface. The result appears immovable and permanent yet remains in constant dialogue with its surroundings, responding to every change in light and every shift of the viewer.

The mirror-polished finish is not ornamental — it is the work's primary medium. Each encounter is defined by what the surface holds in reflection: the room, the viewer, the character of light at any given hour.

At 180 cm, the sculpture meets the viewer at human scale, making each reflected image immediate and personal. Best suited to galleries, large residential spaces, and architectural settings where scale and reflection can be fully encountered.

Nitush Aroosh is the New Delhi-based collectible design studio of brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal. Their practice uses hydroforming and hand-hammering to push stainless steel beyond its industrial origins — into forms that are fluid, reflective, and alive with light.

Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal are the self-taught brothers behind the Nitush Aroosh design practice in Delhi, India. They specialize in collectible sculptural furniture and lighting. Using hydroforming, they shape stainless steel with high-pressure water to create fluid, mirror-polished forms that evoke flowing water. Their hands-on roots in their father's workshop inspire a fresh, global take on design, with hand-finished pieces that feature crisp contours and unique textures. These innovative works have been showcased worldwide, from 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen to London Craft Week and Galerie Paradis in Paris.
