The Tronco Centre Table is a sculptural stainless steel and solid wood centre table by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Tronco Collection (2023–2025). Low and wide, the form references the cross-section of a tree trunk — its layered contours echoing growth rings, while a matt gunmetal finish gives the steel a quieter, earthier character than the polished works in the series.
Shaped through hydroforming and hand-finished, the Centre Table combines a stainless steel base with solid wood detailing — a material pairing that anchors the piece as much in nature as in craft.
Rather than reflecting, the matt surface absorbs and diffuses light, giving the table a contemplative presence. Wide and low, it reads as an anchor in the room — substantial despite the lightness of its hollow construction.
Hollow throughout and roughly 30% lighter than cast equivalents, the table is suited to indoor use, finished in rust-resistant Grade 304 stainless steel.
Founded by brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal in New Delhi, Nitush Aroosh is a self-taught collectible design studio whose practice centres on transforming stainless steel into sculptural objects. Each piece is shaped by hydroforming and resolved by hand.
