The Tronco Pouf is a sculptural stainless steel and faux fur seating piece by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Tronco Collection (2023–2025). Its rounded, log-like form shares the vocabulary of the series, but here the upper surface gives way to soft faux fur — a deliberate contrast between cool industrial base and plush seat.
The stainless steel base carries the same undulating texture that runs through the collection — irregular, bearing the marks of its making — while the faux fur layer above introduces comfort and warmth without compromising the sculptural logic of the piece.
Within the Tronco range, the Pouf is the most domestic work — designed directly for daily use while retaining the collection's commitment to material honesty and considered form.
Nitush Aroosh is the New Delhi-based collectible design studio of brothers Nitush and Aroosh Mahipal. Their practice uses hydroforming and hand-hammering to push stainless steel beyond its industrial origins — into forms that are fluid, reflective, and alive with light.
