Somewhere along Lake Michigan in a gorgeous Wisconsin Estate there lies an unimaginably beautiful 19 foot runner with every color of the rainbow in an infinite Boteh design. Because the Boteh motif is a symbol of a Seed, it only makes sense to imagine that this rug was woven to represent growth, fertility, and new beginnings.

Name: Skittles

Size: 4 x 19

Age: Antique

Pile: Low with great patina and age-related wear

About: Never again in our lives will we come across another runner like this. Every color under the sun fills this rug up with such charm and positivity. To add to its happiness, the design of this rug is the Seed of Life design; paisley or Boteh/Seed designs fill the center of the rug and pop off an incredible purple, blue, charcoal, earthy background color. This pattern represents birth, growth, fertility, and motherhood. Rugs like this are very rare and woven with an artistic eye and symbolic intent. Aside from the colors and the design - the size is very unusual. A wide European size gallery runner that is substantial for a beautiful open space, entryway, hallway, staircase, bedroom, or any other space that perhaps joins two rooms. This rug is in great condition for its age, subtle ancient repairs that aren't really noticeable at all, and both fringe have been secured by my grandfather!

This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.

The Loom House has some high quality authentic tribal rugs. The one I bought arrived promptly, well-wrapped and excellent condition, perfectly matching its website description. I appreciate that they supply good custom cut rug pads, which made the process much easier than trying to obtain one separately. The proprietor responded to issues and communications promptly and conscientiously, and was overall very pleasant and professional to deal with. I was impressed by The Loom House.
