Layers of sandy poplar topped with a colorful (or white!) ceramic cup. Simplicity with a rustic vibe, this handmade lamp is about 15" tall and 5" diameter at the bottom. I like these with this amber colored LED bulb, but email me if you'd like to see it with a shade or a white globe bulb. The switch is on the cord.

Handmade Objects for the Home

Trained as an industrial designer—with years designing for industry powerhouses like West Elm and David Weeks—Amy's work is the result of an intentional spontaneity that allows the concepts and processes of each piece to inform the final product. Each piece starts with a sketch, followed by a 3D model, glaze trials, technical drawings and, of course, numerous failed attempts.
After years of working exclusively in clay, Perch Objects has recently begun revisiting other materials — namely brass, concrete and wood — embracing a more experimental approach to the process.
