HANDWOVEN & KNOTTED TEXTILE ARTWORK
A landscape translated into a tactile composition. Inspired by the intersecting peaks visible from the studio, Serra uses the physical properties of natural cotton to "paint" a horizon. Through a rhythmic variation of weaving and hand-knotting techniques, the work captures the silhouette of mountains meeting beneath an expansive sky.
It is an exploration of the artist’s philosophy of painting with texture — where depth, shadow, and perspective are created not through pigment, but through the weight, direction, and tension of the fiber.
