Commission for client lobby in DC. This association’s core value “MOVE” was transformed into an engaging composition with text encoded in 10 different languages. The association’s palette of multiple blues with accents in green was used to develop a vibrant deeply saturated glass palette. Small elements in iridized glass embedded across the composition create a highly dynamic installation that will “move” as the viewer moves.

Exploring line + light

The most compelling aspect of working with glass is how much it loves light, sparkling and shimmering, shifting and changing. I think a lot about what draws our attention—especially now with so many things competing for our attention. Alongside the hard lines and repetitive forms of our cityscape, I notice the fluidity and constant transformations in our natural world. It is in the contrasts that I find inspiration: nature and city, information and chaos, vibrancy and restraint, fragility and permanence.
