Hamimi - Artisan Crochet Lighting from Marrakech

Hamimi is a Marrakech-based design studio creating handcrafted sculptural lighting rooted in Moroccan craft traditions and contemporary form. Working closely with a community of women artisans near the Atlas Mountains, the studio reinterprets crochet through architectural silhouettes, tactile textures, and carefully considered colour palettes. Each piece is handmade to order, designed to bring softness, presence, and emotional warmth to residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors.

ARTISAN CROCHET LAMPS

Our crochet lamps are handcrafted to order by a small community of women just outside Marrakech, preserving a generational craft while supporting meaningful livelihoods.

The forms draw from everyday Moroccan objects — vessels, baskets, and tagines — reinterpreted as soft, sculptural light.

Each piece is made using viscose kitan thread, traditionally used to embellish Moroccan kaftans. The palette reflects the tones of Morocco, from earth and spice to sea and sky.

Available in a range of models, sizes, and colourways, each lamp is quietly unique, designed to sit effortlessly within contemporary spaces.
