Made with a luxurious hand-knotted silk, this contemporary 4x4 square rug is a rich new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Textural rug collection, featuring a sophisticated field of vibrant emerald green and earthy gold tones.

On the Design:

Our textural collection enjoys an inventive take on plain rugs, with this particular design enjoying luminous, gorgeous tones of deep forest green, rustic olive, and shimmering gold notes that give this large rug its artistic, organic beauty. The variegated, almost mottled color field and horizontal lines create a visual depth reminiscent of a watercolor landscape or the sun-dappled surface of a pond overgrown with moss, bringing natural texture and vibrant life indoors. Admirers of the craft will appreciate the subtle, but inventive approach to this striking, natural, and warm piece with a comfortable presence and tone-on-tone striae—a movement our Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal likes to refer to as a “patternless take on pattern” in its powerful, organic sense of movement. It’s a versatile choice of cozy color and soft presence, and an elegant, yet comfortable high-end answer to solid rugs that’s cozy in any grand space; a whimsical, yet livable piece, and a luxurious choice among our most creative modern rugs.

A Legacy of Excellence Since the Beginning

Rug & Kilim is a New York–based institution devoted to the art of rugs, kilims, and tapestries. Founded in 1980 by Jahanshah “Josh” Nazmiyal, we began as a humble family workshop and have grown into one of the most respected authorities in the field—without ever losing the intimacy and integrity that define our boutique ethos. For over four decades, we’ve served collectors, designers, and connoisseurs who value craftsmanship, soul, and above all, rarity.

In 1989, Rug & Kilim celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its second store in Morristown, New Jersey. The business quickly established itself as a national source for the finest Oriental rugs, offering a wide-ranging collection from Persia, Tibet, India, Pakistan, Russia, and China. Known for its expertise, curated selection, and exceptional customer service, Rug & Kilim became synonymous with quality, integrity, and a deep understanding of color and design. The firm’s commitment to placing rare and distinguished pieces in homes and collections across the country has remained at the heart of its philosophy for decades.
