These yunomi style teacups are wonderfully rough. I allow each one to have its own character and personality in the making process. I throw them slightly off center on the potters wheel to give each cup the wavy rim. Then, I cover each one with thick textured slip before I hand carve the asymmetrical foot detail. No two of tehse cups are completely identical.
