36 x 6 x 2 in., oil and collage on canvas, Numbers, grids, dots, and lines on a buff background are overtaken by a complex grid system at times appearing to be roads, but also a warped web. A corkscrew winds through the grid where squares are filled, as if windows on a side of a factory building. Process is important as editing overtakes the field time and time again, showing my struggling with where the grid will go and how to create order. A 3 color worm pattern and other white squares are filled in as if lights are flickering on and off. An accordion of blue and yellow takes flight and floats off the grid. The people in Ukraine and its field of destruction is part of my struggle in this piece. We must find the answer of how to find a way to stop the destruction, and suffering.
