Acrylic on canvas, 18x18, original work. Nature is my muse and at no other time am I more inspired by color than in Spring. This work is about spring bursting forth as I take my walks with flowers around distracting me with their beauty. This painting is filled with as much joy and love I can muster in a small work. It is meant to bring you my view of nature's colorful joy.

I am an abstract expressionist artist working in acrylics and I am inspired to paint the colors and movement of nature that surrounds me.

Jill Morton is an abstract expressionist artist born and raised in Australia. In her twenties she explored clay and textiles while travelling in Europe and Asia. In the U.S. she obtained a B.F.A. in painting from the School of Visual Arts and two Master’s Degrees in art and education from Teachers College, Columbia in New York city. She currently resides in Connecticut where she taught children’s art in public school for 23 years. Jill currently maintains a full-time studio practice in Bridgeport, CT at Metro Art Studios. Her work resides in private collections across the U. S.
