The Misaki pendant lamp features an origami-inspired lampshade made of laminated linen fabric that provides a bright, yet soft ambient light while showcasing the beautiful texture of the linen. This version of our classic origami shades has an open bottom that provides an extra flow of downlighting in addition to the general ambient light. La Loupe is dedicated to creating lampshades that provide elegant and warm ambient lighting with a modern-retro style.

La Loupe is a Baltimore-based design studio focused on developing interior lighting fixtures and artistic For almost a decade, the studio has developed its collection of fiber and wood lighting fixtures focused on artisanal and small series production.
Our practice is based on the exploration of materials and forms, driven by a commitment to creating objects that lie at the intersection of craft, art, and design. The studio's name (from the French word for "magnifying glass") refers to a process of observation, exploration, and discovery that supports our creative approach.
Through artisanal processes combined with contemporary practices, the studio integrates fiber and wood to create sculptural pieces of art and lighting. Influenced by 20th-century art and design movements, our work is characterized by a pursuit of formal simplicity, geometric abstraction, and clean lines.
