This wheel-thrown, watertight vase is about 5” wide by 7” tall. The glaze on the outside of the vessel is beautifully textured, with a gradient of warm yellow to light melon green. Ceramic petals of various sizes fall gently around the vase in a sophisticated play of positive and negative space.

Contemporary Coastal Art

After attending SCAD as a SCAD scholar and graduating summa cum laude, I spent 15 years working as a graphic designer, creative director, and in-house agency director at a publicly-traded tech company. In 2019, I felt compelled to re-focus on my fine art practice. I began learning through workshops with esteemed artists focused on various mediums and subject matter. I am currently pursuing a certificate in painting studies at RISD.

I have also developed a consistent ceramics practice over the past 5 years and have developed a unique mixed-media style that incorporates fired porcelain into my paintings.

Giving back is an essential part of my art practice. A percentage of every sale I make is donated to local nonprofit organizations protecting SC lands and culture.
