Contemporary resin painting on wood panel created using a cool-toned color palette. Various shades of blue alcohol inks and gold metallic pigments combine together to give the appearance of marine sapphires. Multiple layers of resin were poured to create depth and dimension. Although Melissa strives for a flawless finish, natural imperfections can occur and are considered part of the art process. The texture is smooth and the finish is glossy. The edges are painted. Signed on the back.

We ordered and received this wallpaper months ago, but it took us months to have our construction done. Melissa was a pleasure to work with, and our customized wall/ceiling paper is gorgeous!!!! The person who put it up there was a true master, so we can't even see the seams. Our visitors are in awe, and don't even know it's wallpaper, not a mural. It's just so fun to stare up at this "sky."

I commissioned these three paintings for my apartment when I first moved to Los Angeles. They have now traveled with me from apartment to apartment, and I will keep them in my repertoire for good. I love a triptych because it makes a wall look very cohesive. These are the perfect compliment to the natural vintage aesthetic I aspire to have when decorating my home. Plums are my favorite fruit, so those are a fun personalization, too.

I’ve always liked things that are not so common. I’m a bit of an individualist who appreciates style, design, or art that expresses something uniquely beautiful but that’s not seen every where you turn. That’s what drew me in to Melissa Renee’s art. I chose two abstract gouache paintings that express drama, romance, and an element of surprise.
