Color and pattern collide with compound curves in the Long Shadow Series. Made with wood, colored epoxy resin, and carving techniques on a wood-turning lathe, these sculptures explore what happens when a pattern is stretched like an object casting a shadow in the afternoon sun. They live at the place between intention, intuition, and surprise: I never quite know what will emerge when I begin carving.
