My Work
My work is is about what I see and feel. It is about
the positioning of shape, color and textures. It is
about creating visual joy. Sometimes I veer off from
this direction but I always return to that desire to
capture something more than what is in front of me.
When I begin a painting, I think about each part of
the scene I have chosen to paint and relive it in
hyper detail. I consider the colors, shapes and
placement of each stroke. Sometimes the
composition is completed quickly and sometimes it
is painstaking, but it is always a joyful journey. My
photographs power my work. Having photography
as a base allows me to collect ideas all the time.
Sometimes I find other reference images, like the old
films of Ocean City. In these instances I might recolor
and crop the scene. I am not always limited to a
physical canvas. I can paint anywhere. My art can
stand alone as a commanding focal point or
grouped together to further enhance the mood.
As a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and creative
whose work explores the emotional architecture of
human experience, I move fluidly between
traditional media, digital tools, and emerging
technologies, I create layered, resonant pieces
that invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and
reconnect with their own inner narratives.
I have a deep commitment to art and media
literacy. Through workshops, writing, and
community-centered teaching, learners of all
ages get a chance to understand not just how
images are made, but why they matter. I design
transformative learning experiences that blend
technical skill-building with emotional intelligence,
encouraging students to trust their instincts,
embrace imperfection, and cultivate a personal
visual language.
My work is informed by my background in
communication, design, and creative
entrepreneurship. I build accessible pathways into
art-making, demystifying complex processes-
from traditional painting techniques to 3D
modeling workflows-so that beginners can feel
capable, confident, and curious.
Whether through intimate paintings, digital
compositions, or hands-on instruction, my mission
remains constant: to help people see more
clearly-both the world around them and the one
within.
