Stone is my language; mosaics are the stories I would like to tell

My name is Altynai Achilova, and I am a mosaic artist. Working primarily with natural stone, marble, granite, and slate, I create handcrafted mosaics that explore the relationship between nature, memories, and traditions. My artistic practice is rooted in the ancient mosaic tradition while developing a contemporary visual language inspired by organic forms, flowers, landscapes, and symbolic patterns. Each piece is assembled by hand, with particular attention to texture, rhythm, and the unique character of every stone fragment.
