LichenIt is a wood and resin interactive art piece that combines 4 layers of artistic creativity. Merging a beautiful transparent Maple end-grain wood and resin abstract art panel with etched glass, mirrors, LED RGB lights (w/ remote) to create the most unique wood and resin home decor you have ever seen. Both an art piece and a decorative lighting display, it will instantly become the focal point of any room.
My art has been described as a cross between a very large microscope slide and a kaleidoscope. With the lights on, the resultant glow is both mesmerizing and entrancing as you can change the colors to fit your space, or your mood, allowing the viewer to be immersed in the natural wood grain, pencil-line spalting and multiple shades of yellow- green color shifting resin.
Each one-of-a-kind NatureView® piece takes over 120 hours to build, and the attention to detail shows. Mounted in a handmade contrasting Cherry wood frame and protected with premium quality anti-glare and UV resistant Museum Glass®.
Brass accompaniments including corner protectors, hangers and chain finish the frame.
Engraved brass plate with the name, serial number, date of completion and signature of the artist is included.
These are designed to be hung on a wall or displayed on a flat surface either vertically or horizontally.
