Lemon Wool originated from a woollen sweater knitted by the artist’s grandmother and worn throughout the winter. More than an everyday garment, it carries the warmth of handmade care, family memory and the reassuring familiarity of something returned to year after year.
The wool fibres were photographed at microscopic scale, revealing a tactile landscape hidden within the knitted surface. The image was then artistically transformed into abstraction, enlarging this intimate material memory into a composition centred on warmth, closeness and continuity across generations.
