Textured abstract cave painting of horses running to battle, framed in authentic barn wood from Wisconsin. I tried to depict the ancient cave wall art, that was so beautifully sketched by native cave dwellers. Earth tones, browns and blacks are primary colors. 28x34x2.

Bold, textured, abstract acrylic and mixed media artwork.

I am a self taught artist that was born and raised in northern Illinois. I currently reside in Arlington, Texas. I have been drawing and painting since I was a child, but spent the majority of my youth, showing and breeding Arabian horses. This led me to truly appreciate the beauty of animals and the nature that surrounds them. I started creating artwork as a business over 10 years ago now.
I use a variety of mediums including molding paste, gesso, oil, metallic, and acrylic paints on stretched canvas.
I create an expressionistic style by using brushes, sponges, spray techniques, and my hands.
My vision is to create each piece with a vibrant boldness and a heart of its own.
Abstract and mixed media are my main styles.
Thus leading to my motto, " Art makes the world a more beautiful place for those who choose to observe it" Liz Johnston.
