Hopen is an intensely textured work of fiber art, handcrafted from undyed, felted merino wool. Inspired by the wild, untamed beauty of northern Norway, this piece reflects the sculptural shapes and intricate textures formed in ice—memories drawn from a journey my husband and I took to this remote part of the world.
Working in fiber allows for a depth of texture that is both tactile and visually compelling. My hope is that Hopen will continue to captivate and surprise its viewers for years to come.
