My name is Nicole Hsieh, ceramic artist and founder of Hsieh Clay SF. I create limited-batch stoneware and porcelain featuring delicate hand-drawn florals and subtle 22k gold detailing — each piece entirely handmade and one-of-a-kind. The collection includes sculptural vessels, trinket dishes, and refined tableware designed to feel artful, elevated, and collectible. Inspired by my grandmother’s cherished dishes and my nearly 30 years as a public school art teacher, my work reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and objects meant to be kept and treasured over time.

Nicole Hsieh (pronounced Shay) creates timeless, handcrafted ceramics rooted in quiet nostalgia and lived history. Influenced by a 1970s childhood surrounded by antiques and heirloom forms, her work evokes the warmth and intimacy of objects passed through generations. Each piece is made slowly and intentionally, adorned with hand-drawn florals and finished with a subtle 22-karat gold luster, celebrating imperfection, individuality, and everyday ritual. A longtime public school art teacher, Hsieh believes deeply in creativity as a lifelong practice. Her ceramics feel as though they have already lived a lifetime—soulful, enduring, and meant to be held, used, and cherished.
