“Goddess of Solace” (Mixed media mosaic)
The newest piece in my Buddha Collection, “Goddess of Solace” was created with upcycled dinnerware, pyrite, gold and iridescent glass. For me, the solace lies in the creation itself; in the slow rhythm of cutting, arranging, and fitting each fragment into place until harmony emerges.
Mirrors along the edge and touches of gold across the surface catch and scatter rays of light throughout the room as the light shifts during the day. Together, they create a luminous, ever-changing effect that brings the work to life.
This one of a kind mosaic radiates calm strength and quiet reflection, a true focal point that transforms with the light around it.
