Historically, the Hall of Supreme Harmony served as the epicenter of the Ming and Qing dynasties, hosting the most paramount state ceremonies. Architecturally, it is a marvel of ancient physics and hierarchy. Featuring the highest architectural rank—the double-eave hip roof—its spectacular structure is achieved purely through an interlocking wooden structural geometry, completely bracketless and without a single iron nail.
Flanking the majestic frontal terrace are faithful replicas of the Jialiang (ancient measuring vessel) and the Rigui (imperial sundial), symbolizing the emperor's absolute authority over space, time, and universal standards.
