Hello and welcome! I’m Camille, a fiber artist specializing in large-scale woven wall hangings, tapestries, and modern fiber art installations.
This commissioned piece now hangs in a private residence in Boulder, CO. The client’s request was to “bring the outdoors in,” so I translated the gentle curve of the foothills visible through the home’s windows into the composition. The color palette—rich forest greens and earthy browns—was drawn directly from the surrounding woodland, creating a piece deeply rooted in its environment.
Measuring 9 feet long by 4 feet tall and extending 5 inches from the wall, the installation was handwoven using merino wool yarns that I hand-dyed in my Denver, CO studio. Layered weaving and textural detailing give the piece depth, movement, and a warm, inviting presence.
