The final piece in the four-part Redwood Reverence collection, this one-of-a-kind console table presents redwood in a quieter, more linear form while preserving the collection’s themes of memory, connection, and reverence for the natural material.
Its long, slender top is handcrafted from a single highly figured redwood slab. Waves of golden, amber, and copper grain move across the surface, with a gently organic edge preserving the tree’s natural character. A crystal-clear, high-gloss epoxy finish deepens the figure and creates a luminous surface that shifts as the light moves across it.
Dark hardwood bow ties stabilize natural separations near each end of the slab. Throughout Redwood Reverence, these bow ties symbolize bridges in the woods—connections between divided forms, loved ones, and the past and future.
Four tapered, two-tone hardwood legs bring a lighter, more playful rhythm to the piece. Their angled stance and contrasting sections echo the vertical lines of a forest while giving the substantial redwood top an elegant sense of lift.
The collection was inspired by a blissful walk through Muir Woods with my boyfriend and daughter—a memory of peace, belonging, and connection beneath the redwoods.
