The Enso Desk takes its form from a single, unbroken gesture — drawn the way a Japanese ink painter draws an ensō: in one breath, without revision. That spontaneous mark on paper became the silhouette of a piece of functional sculpture.
First realized in Concrete Canvas as the award-winning Enso Table, the form is interpreted here in solid walnut. The deeper tone and shadowed grain give the curve a quieter, more grounded presence, and the wood is worked so that the grain runs continuously around the sweep of the leg — the line of the gesture and the line of the material become one.
Wall-fastened for stability, the desk reads as a single fluid stroke: part writing surface, part sculptural artwork.
