Inspired by the legendary collection of Robert Hatfield Ellsworth, the "Godfather of Ming Furniture," this Horseshoe Armchair Trio represents a masterly evolution of Eastern aesthetics by designers Yuchen and Judy. This set is designed to anchor modern Western executive spaces through a strategic "Aesthetic Conflict"—using the warmth, upright lines, and structural purity of the Ming form to provide a profound counterpoint to the cold stone and industrial minimalism of contemporary business environments.
The Craft and Material
Meticulously executed in Imperial Midnight Black-Gold—a rare timber defined by a "Polar Night" aesthetic. Cold, piercing golden veins dance across an abyss of extreme black. Driven by our philosophy of craft evolution, we selected this material for its hardcore, water-sinking density. It sinks the moment it touches water, and this extreme physical gravity permanently locks in the eternal value and commanding presence of a true heirloom masterpiece.
The Details: Features a sophisticated "Haitang" (Begonia) openwork carving on the backsplat, symbolizing scholarly integrity and refined grace.
The Engineering: Employs the "Four Legs from One Timber" technique, requiring flawless, large-scale material to ensure absolute structural and visual continuity.
