I made this one of a kind sculpture out of stoneware clay in my pottery studio on the coast just south of Barcelona. I glazed with a white glossy glaze and fired it to 1240 degrees C.

Handmade functional tableware and funky sculptural ceramics

Inspired by the waves of the ocean and the textures of the coastline, I throw my pieces on the pottery wheel and then alter them using hand building techniques. I like to experiment with shapes and I develop my own glazes. Opening the kiln after the firing is always thrilling because only then you know if your idea worked out.

Wonderful pieces from the niho ceramics collection that fit perfectly into my African-European arrangement. I love it!

When we visited Nicole's shop we immediately loved this piece. Fortunately we could achieve it. Pass along at niho - we are sure you will be impressed by her creative capability - or purchase by her online shop. Best regards Ingrid+Axel

Nicole is such a talented artist and provided amazing customer service. She went above and beyond by finding a bulb that is adaptable within U.S. standards and her ceramic lamp wonderfully completes my space. The box was packed very securly and shipped in an extremely timely manner. 5 stars, indeed!
