Her practice unfolds through series such as GeoHorizon, GeoFlora, and Residual Fields, where layered acrylic surfaces explore color, gesture, and texture. Recurring drips appear throughout her work, serving as a metaphor for roots—connection, growth, and the unseen forces shaping our world. Rooted in abstraction yet suggestive of landscape and memory, Carney’s paintings invite contemplation and emotional engagement. She lives and works in the Montreal region, developing a seasonal studio practice in Prince Edward Island.
