Measuring 40" wide and 26" long, this textured wall hanging brings so much visual interest through dimension and soft hues. The sweeping fringe is unique from most of my work and adds a softness to the edges of the piece. The original hangs in Mishi Lakewood home store.

Adding three dimensional texture to your walls brings such visual interest to a room. With fiber being such a common material in our daily lives, soft sculpture made of wool and cotton can bring the viewer a sense of comfort and familiarity, bringing up memories and feelings associated with home.

Transforming meaning and memory into texture and color.

Using raw materials such as wool and cotton, I make sculptural wall hangings, woven together by hand. Located in the beautiful state of Utah, my work often reflects abstract landscapes, inspired by the textures and colors of the earth, water, and sky.

My work has so much more to do with creating something aesthetic for people’s homes: it’s about evoking emotions that connect us more deeply to ourselves, to each other, and to that deeper something that holds the essence and meaning of existence. My work is meant to connect and expand people in a way that brings meaning, purpose, and joy to the viewer. My intention as an artist is to create both a visual, tactile, and emotional experience for the viewer by intricately weaving meaning and memory into texture and color.

Even the rawest materials such as raffia or wool can be meticulously and gently twisted and formed with compassion into something stunningly beautiful as a whole. My work is deeply influenced by a desire to inspire others to be fiercely authentic, vulnerable, and most of all, human, while we all learn to accept, love, and celebrate who we are.

"I was looking for the perfect piece of artwork, something with texture and something unique to complete our mountain home in Cashiers, NC. While browsing through Etsy I came across Rebecca’s beautiful wall hangings and knew instantly that was the final touch our home needed! I loved her use of natural fibers and earth tones. I specifically requested to have large clusters of wool added to pay homage to the mountain, Big Sheepcliff, where our home is located. She incorporated beautifully. "Once I hung the piece above the fireplace, I knew it was exactly what I had imagined. The room felt peaceful, warmer and cozy just as I had hoped. I was really pleased with how collaborative and interactive Rebecca was as she created my piece. She shared the colors and types of textiles she was planning to use and we tweaked it just a bit to make sure the accent colors fit my vision. She sent updated pictures as she progressed to share the work in progress and ask for feedback. This process ensured she met my expectations and I knew exactly what the finished work would look like when it arrived. It was a truly great process and I am beyond pleased with the final product."

"When I first came across Rebecca's art I immediately fell in love with her work. In particular, "The Return" was so beautiful and meaningful that I knew I would want to stare at it for years in my home. Not even thinking it was a possibility to shrink down such a detailed piece to less than 1/3 of the original size, I figured I would message her just in case.
