Commission custom work from this series. Although it looks black, each piece is hand built from layers and layers of artist mixed pigments in blues and green and rust: acrylic medium applied with a painter’s wedge. Final texture is leathered with raised elements of a spiral and divots. The “portal” is a mix of whites and colors and elements that float through the darkness are reminiscent of animal skins or scales.
